Good Afternoon, FS Warriors! Well, those 50 degree temps were great while they lasted. Tonight, we drop down to around 23F or so. On the plus side, the drizzling rain and wind are supposed to go somewhere else. DW was crying and in pain because of her wrist in the wee hours of the morning. The velcro cast she had on was so tight around from her thumb halfway up the arm, that I think it was having the opposite effect than what it was trying to achieve; I think it was forcing the wrist bones into an unnatural position. As soon as I loosened the cast, she was fine. Geez! Today she is supposed to be out Christmas shopping with DD. I suspect there is a good meal or two in it for DD again; hmmm, seems to be a pattern developing here.
So, I'm cooking tonight. That either means Subway, or leftovers. We had ham and beans for supper, and I had ham and beans for lunch. I'm already a hoot (or perhaps I should say "Toot") to be around; I don't think I'm going to eat ham and beans for supper. There may be an explosion when I light off the fireplace.
Well, our piano player has flown south for the winter, and I am the instrumentalist. Ha, that's funny! I am mostly a strummer, but in all reality, all I have to do is get the congregation going; we can do it acapella if we have to. Adapt, improvise and overcome. Hoo Rah! We're doing Christmas songs right now, and most of them are a little high for me, and I know I could play them in different keys to suit myself, but then that makes it rough on my singing partner. If she quits, I'm history. I don't think she will though; she's the Pastor's wife. LOL!
I have a doctors appointment right after work this evening. I had my blood workup done last week, and tonight he's going to discuss the results with me. I don't expect any real surprises. I would have rather had a more impressive weight loss, but it is what it is. Other than wrapping some presents for DW, and fixing a few things on the little car, there's nothing holding me back from getting to work on the house again. Everything goes on hold this time of the year - including my weight loss. I'll be glad to get a little time off over the Christmas holidays, but that time just seems to fly by. Oh well, guess I had better accomplish something while I'm still a young Whippersnapper. :D Here's wishing you all a great evening, and a better day tomorrow! Toodles!
