Confession time:

At thanksgiving dinner-- I ddid not go overboard-- but I did not care either-- Once a year I have mawshed ruttabegg/potatos (sorry if it misspelled)---green bean cassarole, two helpings each- corn 2 rolls-- white turke7y meat (I usually have dark)--red velvet muffins (2--yes 450 cal each)-- two pumpkim pies slices---- and chex mix-- three bowls--- so bad--but oh so good..
Now back to being good!

Knew I was going to weigh more--but I thought it would be a lot worse...

Then day started offf wrong though-- wife and I started out arguing-- due to my ocd on my diet-- it all started by my question do you want me to buy spirit zero... yeah that simple-- it went on.. she always loked forward to having cider with the meal... the arguement went on bout how she has to live with the new life style-- and tht this is a life committement and tht she has tried it my way-- lost a lot and gained it back.. blah blah blah... yeah I did not say much back-- but was getting ticked off.. thought oh great this is the way it will be for the day---
finally she started to cry-- and backed down-- ws eventually got back on talking terms...guess she is really struggling with jealousy of me-- not sure how to supppoprt her---I am proud of her---she has lost 50 lbs sinnr April-- she confessed that she missed "real" food-- and hates it that when we go out. I continue to watch what I eat sigh... noo win situation

Yes. Very tough situation. Somehow you will have to find a middle ground. I am sure you will find it.

Food can be so complicated and tied to emotions, memories, etc. I know it can be really hard to stick to a new lifestyle and not feel deprived of "real" food when it's connected to holiday meaning. Good luck figuring it out as a couple. I know it can always be tricky to figure out how to best support a partner. My DH sure doesn't always figure it out exactly the way I'd like, anyway.

Men always lose weight faster than women. It's one of the great cosmic jokes. Middle ground, just keep telling her how great she looks. Keep reassuring her. Sounds like she just needs to hear it from you.
