What's done is done. Instead of being disappointed in yourself, put that behind you and do what is best for you without worrying what your family/friends say. Yes, you can do it!

I know exactly what you mean: I continuously catch flack for logging my calories and exercise as soon as possible. But, then I get compliments when they see the results of my hard work. That being said, get back on track. Your FS family will always be here to support you and provide encouragement when you need it most.

Think of it as a lesson learned. Forget about it and get started again. When you fall down, you just got to pick yourself back up again. You know you can do it. Good Luck :)

You can get back down and if the family doesnt like hearing about you counting calories and it really helps you they dont have to listen. Go Get Em :)

I was the same way. I was on Weight Watchers - met my goal and quit going to meetings. I thought I could do it myself without writing my food intake down. I failed. It is human nature. I have to be "held accountable" in some fashion in order for me to stick to my diet plan. You can do this - you can be discouraged - just don't let the discouragement consume your every thought or action. You are taking the right step! Keep the faith!

Remember this feeling whenever you're tempted to relax on your standards. Use it to remind yourself how much it sucks. And like others have said, who cares about what others think about YOU trying to measure YOUR diet. It's often those who AREN'T taking control of their own diets/fitness that have problems with those around them who are. So don't delay starting another minute. Just start. :-)
