It's only four pounds, but it is weight loss. I haven't been sticking to the plan, but I will be.

I am competing with Kenya to lose 20 lbs by November 14. Well, it's a challenge, all right. Even I don't reach the goal, at least I will be on the journey. I'm competitive, so I will work hard at it.
298.1 lb Lost so far: 41.9 lb.    Still to go: 118.1 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 1.8 lb a week

Looking at your weight history you're doing great keep it up. A pound at a time is the way to do it. My goal is if I don't lose at least maintain.

I wasn't aware that we had that option to check out someone else's history. Awesome. I checked out your weight history and am impressed. I like that your trend is downward. Hang in there, my friend. keep going. As you said - a pound at a time.

Thank you, Bonnie. I weigh myself every day as well. A diet coach once told me that if I gain 2 lbs overnight, check what I ate that was different. That particular food is something your body is allergic to. SO I monitor what I eat closely. I am pretty old, so I have eliminated many things I like because they make me gain weight or cause heart palpitations or skin rashes. Ugh. Nevertheless, God has helped me to make salads my meal of choice and water my beverage of choice. This has been so helpful. On the other hand, I have a weakness for Fritos. :-)

Hey at least you are losing weight! Whether one pound or more! No matter how minimal this loss is it is your gain! Work hard and crush those numbers!

Looking at other members goals, ups and downs but determination is one thing that encourages me to not give up, keep trying and silently cheer them on.

You are better off to lose 1 - 2 lbs. per week. Lose to fast and it won't stay off. A lot of my weight loss in the beginning was fluid. My doctor is thrilled with my weight loss. 24 lbs since December. I was set up to do a gastric bypass in December and found there were more cons than pros. I know I can do it on my own if I really put my mind to it. This site really does help. Remember we didn't put it on over night and the same with taking it off. Be grateful for every lb. or ounces you lose. It's a victory. 5 to 10 lbs. a month is reasonable. Don'e get discouraged as long as your going down or hitting a plateau, as long as your not gaining consider it a victory. You can do it, just be patient. I'll be praying for you and God Bless.
