Megan! Don't be so down on yourself... :( This is why Weight Watchers only encourages you weigh in once a week. Your body fluctuates throughout the week! There are SO MANY reasons you could have been up from yesterday - Are you on your period? Did you eat salty food? Or maybe you just needed to go to the bathroom. :) The weekend is coming, so just be proud of all your hard work yesterday!! You rocked!! Keep it up and stop weighing in every day, it'll drive you bananas... :P

You worked out twice yesterday. If your muscles are sore, they are retaining water to help heal them. This can show up as a gain on the scale. It is only temporary. Our bodies are made up of 60% water. The scale may change hourly based on exercise, sodium, foods we eat and drink, hormones, stress, medications, etc. If you are doing everything right, it will show up eventually on the scale or in inches lost (fat). Exercise can make us go down in sizes, but not necessarily on the scale straight away. Both are ways of showing weight loss success. Google the article "why the scale lies" and it will help you understand how you can do everything right and see a gain. Just keep going and you will see a change. Patience and persistence is the only way to lose weight and keep it off. Good luck!

Megan when you work out your body adjust to muscle gain and fat loss. In a couple of days it will be showing great progress. When you are doing right things it matters. Doing all the wrong things got me into my weight gain, but I know in my heart when I do the right things there will be weight loss. I know what you are going through. I want all my hard work to show right away. It is like feeding a newborn baby, it want show right away but before you know it the baby is crawling, sitting up, then walking. It did not happen overnight but without all that feeding and attention it would not be doing none of those things. You will see results soon. Wait till your husband sees you in JUNE he will flip out, he might not even want to go back on the ship and if he does he will be dreaming about you (Im sure he does that now) Keep doing what you are doing and also eat some more fruits and vegetables that always cleans us out. The other day when I worked out twice the next day showed zero change. Then today I was really down. It will show if you keep up your work. Get a picture of a cute outfit you see in a magazine and picture yourself in it when you are excercising. This helps me. I love clothes but only buy from second hand (nothing wrong with second hand, I will probably buy a lot of skinny clothes from them) but treat yourself once in a while (thats what I am telling myself)And when you want to quit think of your health how much better you will feel and your family. This is important. I am 44 and my oldest son is getting married and my youngest is graduating from high school. I feel like an emptynester. Now I have to contend with my weight and lonliness. My husband can never make up for the children growing up. I love him but they have been my life and now I have to create one. I do not want to be fat in my new life. (LOL) Live your life daily for you never get to go back and start over with what you had, it will always be what you have that you are starting with. I miss my 30's somehow I lost them. I enjoyed my children so much that I cannot think of me just them. So get the weight off now. Enjoy everyday SORRY To be so phylisophical--- missing my children already and they still live here. PS. I WILL NOT MISS THERE LAUNDRY: LOL

HaHa - I'm 45 - have two in high school and one going into middle school - know what you mean about where did the 30's go - wouldn't have missed a day of it though! But once you catch that glimpse of life after and think, what am I going to do next? it's a strange feeling, isn't it? Thanks for reminding me of what I should know - giving up is never the answer.. the only thing that will get me what I want is sticking with this - P.S. - I won't miss the laundry either - :)
