timconard's Journal, 13 April 2014

not a good week at all.
barely able to walk thursday/friday due to hip/pelvis injury. haven't been able to get any exercise in.
some stress and emotional issues have got me feeling kind of depressed. though, i have managed to avoid my past response to feeling this way (i.e. have not eaten any chips at all, much less two or three bags full).
having some issues with swelling in my left calf/ankle/foot. not a new thing, and not as bad as it has been in the past, but still another stressor. also feeling very gassy and bloated.
generally speaking, this has been an extremely low ebb for me.
gotta stay on the positives - been doing good hitting my caloric goals, been doing pretty good hitting hydration, got to spend some time with family members i actually like and don't see nearly often enough. had a nice dinner and watched one of our favorite movies with wife, both daughters and daughter number two''s s.o..
just wish it had done more to get me out of this funk.
but, enough about that...
going to be a beautiful day here today. have absolutely nothing that has to be accomplished, no plans or goals for the day. should be simple and carefree. hopefully, it will turn out that way.
hope you are all doing better than me...

Hi Tim, I hate to here that you are in so much pain. Here's to some relief really soon. Does anything in particular make you old injury act up more than normal?

You should feel proud that you reacted well to the situation by being able to avoid turning to those foods! That's really great! And it will definitely contribute for you to feel better not only psychologically because you have a reason to be proud about, but also physically, which also translates to feeling better psychologically (since it's all connected). I wish you all the patience and optimism to deal with this situation! Better days will come!
