Yelis2591's Journal, 22 June 2018

I have notice that for me 180 it’s impossible. So now I am determined to set my goals to a close number and when I get there. Set my goal to something believable. To another closer number. And hopefully I will get there eventually. It’s so sad and I’m so ashamed.

Excellent work facing up to the gain. Nicely done. Also terrific work setting up smaller goals. Not a bit of shame in any of that. Let's go! #nextstep #getserious #mindset #grindtime #stayhungry #alwaysdiet #inspiringAF

Don’t be ashamed! I have more to lose than you do but I also set small goals. I’ve been having small losses but am at least losing. You can do this, just keep plugging away at it. 😊😊😊

small goals help build confidence and helps get you excited for the next small goal. before you know it, you've made it to the big goal! no shame! I've done the same!

No shame, this is a difficult battle. You faced the issue, now set your goal and go for it!! You will fail again along the way but keep going. I had an epic binge yesterday. In the past I would have given up. Not anymore. Today is a new day and I’m back to it. You can do this!! Huge hugs to you! 😘😘

don't be ashamed as we age we all have different numbers that are realistic. right now I am 277 my first goal is 250 then my next goal is 230 and then my next goal is 199 at 199 I will reevaluate where I think my body should be

I do tens. It seems like the 0 is always the hardest one to get over but I’m happy to be in the next lower tens. If I do it that way and not focus on the amount I have to lose its all good. You can do it we all go through the loss and gains. I’m here cuz I lost 110 lbs gained 40 lbs back. When losing I would go down and then up then go down. It was nice throwing away my 24pants keep up the work it’s worth it and so are you.

There are members here who have weighed or do weigh significantly more than you do who have made amazing progress. Don't be ashamed. Follow some of them, and be inspired!

One piece of advice that really worked for me (finally) was to set small goals of 5% body weight over 16 weeks. I've always hit the goal before the date. If I'd set a goal of losing 90 lbs, it would have been just too overwhelming. I know I still have 55 lbs to go in my big picture, but right now all I'm focused on is the remaining 5 lbs of this particular lap. It has taken me 4 weeks so far and I'm already halfway to a new outfit!

absolutely no reason to be ashamed. If you set smaller goals and hit those and it keeps you motivated, then just do that. losing weight is a marathon, not a quick jog around the block

Only be ashamed if you continue to choose to ignore the solution. Starting right now, make decisions that make yourself proud and healthier! Every time you are about to make a bad decision, remember how you felt when you logged in and posted a higher number. Give yourself huge credit for being here and holding yourself accountable vs. ignoring it. You got this beautiful, we are here to support you! Stay strong. Hugs
