Really missed my home country’s taste (which is basically everything with soy sauce lol) so I made one by myself. Protein-packed, great post-workout meal!

One thing I completely forgot was that the portion of rice insanely gets bigger once it is cooked. Just a quarter cup of uncooked rice turned out to be too much for me! Damn, too much carbs. (I didn’t leave rice uneaten bc food waste is a real problem!)

>Jim McKee Basically it’s an onion, chicken breast and eggs on rice, flavored with soy sauce.

Ok so a couple of you guys seem interested in this, so here is the recipe! https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.seriouseats.com/amp/recipes/2016/08/oyakodon-japanese-chicken-and-egg-rice-bowl-recipe.html I was too lazy to go out to buy sake so I used water instead, and it totally worked.

No food waste if you save a portion for later. I know some people dont like reheating food or leftovers but you could make and split it into two portions.

>CandaceM OMG I was completely not aware of that option!!! Yes I’m totally fine with reheating meals, so thanks for sharing the idea!!!
