CJ, 💔 I want you to know that a lot of us struggling with chronic pain are motivated to lose weight, because of course it makes our pain less. But I’ve still got enormous pain. But it’s not gonna make me housebound anymore, and my big pain days don’t mean a big binge day. So, my heart goes out to you. I’ve been there. The depression was insurmountable at times. And, it gets better. Now I exercise regularly including jogging! As far as green leafy greens are concerned, it’s 50% healthier raw anyway. But on occasion, I love sautéed spinach in just about anything with a dash of salt. Incredible. Raw veggies are to be explored, and filled up on in my house. And like SMProwett said, yes eating fresh can be pricey, but you’re already doing frozen fruit (expensive) so why not expand your horizons? Look up calories once for leafy greens. They’re next to nothing! Yes

Great Value Frozen fruit isn't expensive and it doesn't go bad if i can't eat it right away. I have a very limited income so i can't spend it on food that might not get eaten and if it's something i have no experience with i need to be able to look at it, check prices of it and similar items, and other things the person who picks my groceries up for me isn't going to do. It's wonderful that you are out and jogging and doing better! When my pain is bad i am unable to eat so i don't have to worry about binges. I'm so glad you are out and about in the world! :-)

@cj what keeps better, if you like crunchy food is the broccoli slaw. It can be eaten in stir fry or with any dressing as a coleslaw type salad or added to any salad. I’ll even add strawberries to it with a strawberry balsamic vinaigrette as a meal. If you like the stems on broccoli? And crunchy food! LOL 🙋🏻Unfortunately, unless you buy it in a mix and eat it every day it’s hard to eat enough salad to not end up throwing it out.

I've used the broccoli slaw before in a recipe. I'm not much for raw crunchy but i do like broccoli. I also get the shredded cabbage but i cook that. With the nerve damage in my hands i wouldn't want to be around myself trying to hold on to a sharp knife while cutting through a head of cabbage lol
