Well today is a bummy day for me, my youngest is moving out. Ok, I call it a transfer - he's going to move in w/my mom. He told me he wanted a change and I understand that. Here was our conversation: Me: You know, moving in w/Grandma is just a transfer since she only lives 15 minutes away, right? Him: Well at least I am leaving the nest. Me: Well, you maybe leaving the nest, but you are only fluttering your wings. Him: Well mom, someday I will be an eagle and get my 7 ft wing span and I will fly! Me: LMAO!!! - you kill me lol!!

So yes, I am going to have an empty nest and I didn't expect it to bother me, but it is. I am happy that my boys are growing and becoming mature responsible young adults. I am excited for them, but damn, the adjustment is hard. My oldest moved out 3 yrs ago and I handled it ok. I think it was more because he was a social butterfly and so he wasn't home much anyways. My youngest, he was more homebound and maybe that's why it's harder for me. It's just going to be very weird.....

Had a nice weekend. Got out of the house on Saturday and the hubby and I went for a drive although the roads were crappy, ended up north to see the elk, which to our surprise, we did get to see some. Haven't looked to see if the pics I took turned out. Stopped at a winery and bought some Elderberry/Strawberry wine - I will need to break that open soon lol. Yesterday made cookies for the guys and yes I had 3 of them and they were damn good! lol

Between some of my "non-healthy choices" this weekend, (the wine testing, the cappuccino, the cookies, a bite-size ice cream bar) I wasn't too sure about getting on the scale this morning, but I did anyways and to my surprise I didn't gain one lb! I was pleased w/that and even if I did, I still enjoyed my weekend and I wouldn't have regreted the choices I had made and would have made them all over again. So, the weekend is over and I'm focusing on the last 2 lbs that I need shed to make my February goal. Hoping to have them off by this weekend, but only time will tell.
