16th day and I am still working it. Now I am really getting the hang of it and getting creative with mixing different veggies to satisfy various food cravings. I have started phase two, really the only things I have added to phase one is the two diet drinks and the two meat options. I am doing 3oz of tuna in water at lunch and 4oz of salmon at dinner. That is all I am ready to add for now, I am afraid to add or change much else because I don't want to trigger a food binge. I am feeling good about the meal plan and I believe I can stay on this one.

Day 14. Still going strong. I feel better and I am getting around better. This is a dangerous week for me because the third week is where I usually give up on dieting. This time feels different for me I really want this diet to work. I am craving something crunchy and the other day I read on one of the link pages about roasted soy beans, has anyone tried them before? I went grocery shopping yeaterday so I am ready to work it this week and make some progress. Thanks for all your encouraging words.

Day 11 I did not pack my food for the work day last night and this morning when I went to pack it up I was out of lettuce. Gasp...a flush of panic went through my body. I knew I did not have time to stop by the grocery store so I was faced with the dredded fast food drive by. I have to tell you that when I pulled up to the order board my heart was racing and my hands on the steering wheel were white knuckled, but I was there only to order one thing and that was a basic salad with no frills. I blurted out my salad order and quickly moved forward so I was not tempted to add any greasy, fat items. Mission accomplished!! Problem solved!! Now, I don't want to be faced with this situation very often but I am proud that I made an plan and stuck to it. After work I am headed straight to the grocery store to stock up on produce. I have noticed that is key on this diet is being prepared and stay strong to the food list.

Ten days in and all is well. I am really working hard on my new mindset about what food is for. Food is not for comforting emotions and not for a passing time but it is for fuel and nutrition to the body and brain. Its okay to feel a hunger pang then eat something to satisfy it. In the past I have eaten so much and so often that I wasn't sure what a hunger pang felt like. In the past couple of days I have been taking pride in my newfound hunger pangs and when I eat some veggies, fruit or rice and the pangs disappear I am marveled. I am not going to give up and throw in the towel because this is just the beginning of new discoveries of my body and soul. Oh...did I say I love brown rice.
