BG after breakfast 151 maybe because i ate rice and pasta last night and did not take the full insulin requirement. Will check again in 2 hours to make sure it goes down. BG two hours later is 129. Not too bad! two hours later BG was 94. Ate lunch Antipasto salad with balsamic Vinegar dressing will see how BG is in two hours. BG 111 at 2. Yeppie!
142.0 lb Lost so far: 3.0 lb.    Still to go: 27.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Tree: We are all different I admit, but if I ate rice and pasta both, my BG would be way over 150. I ate 1 (one would you believe) 5 oz. potato with salmon and asparagus and spiked 200. I suspect you are young enough that you are not as carb sensitive as I am, but I also suspect that day is coming. It seems to for all of us diabetic folks. I do have one thought however. I don't know what kind or brand of salsa you use, but does it have a sugar component? Most of these things do, which is why I make my own. If it does, then 151 after you ate some might not be too bad. Just a thought. Best of luck.

I used a fresh Salsa from the deli department. I will check the label but it only has 10 calories for 2 tbsp so it can at most have like 2 g of carbs. I am carb sensitive to different carbs (rice, pasta, and bread no matter what) I think it really just depends on your body chemistry. Which at 10 years later i am still trying to figure out. But using an insulin pump is really helping.
