Niklv17's Journal, 22 April 2008

So I know that my main struggle is going to be keeping my late night snacking under control. I'm on a pattern where I have to eat a (unhealthy) snack before bed and it's really hurting me. But I've already noticed that following Weight Watchers makes me think more about what I am eating, which I know will help.

I've been reading a lot of things lately that say eating late puts on weight is a myth. Here is something I found on it: ____________________________________________________ Myth: Eating most of your calories in the evening promotes weight gain. Fact: No matter when you eat them, you gain weight when you eat more calories than you burn off. However, mindless munching in front of the TV at night can push calorie intake over the top. ___________________________________________ Have you been over your points when you go to bed because of the late night munching?

I have also read the same thin (thanks, Cheeks). I am also a evening muncher, but if you allow for it in your tracking, you should be fine.

That's definitely what I need to do, plan for it ahead of time and leave extra points available for the evening.
