Well, I made it through a celebratory night out with my family and did NOT eat the French fries!
Go Happy! Go Happy! LOL. This place has the BEST french fries.....I have no idea what magic they sprinkle on them but they are awesome. My honey and I talked about eating a few and he said he saw no reason not to have a few. Then added - if that is something you can do without triggering cravings.
I just stared at him ...... it's not that he hasn't been supportive of my losing weight.. he has been... in his own way. He was not happy about my choice of methods..,.. he didn't believe it would work or was healthy. We've had some lively discussions about elimination certain foods which concerned him BUT I stick to my guns and absolutely would not give in. It's been seven months and he's seen my progress. He can't deny my success with this way of eating and has been very supportive of my weight loss. He doesn't complain about the new recipes I ask him to try and he's even losing a taste for the sweets that were once a daily thing for him.
He can finally see that the issue is that my body can't process certain things the way it is supposed to. He's always been concerned about and said I don't eat enough, and could never understand how or why my weight was so high. I finally got to talk about the why of what I'm doing - without argument or interruption -. he listened, asked good questions and agreed that it makes sense. It's hard to deny what you see in action.
My NSV - my honey joined the team! Not just the cheering section but the ACTUAL TEAM!!
The French fries didn't call to me - they ventured Thier way over to other people's plates and were consumed with joyful abandon which made me happy - I hate seeing food go to waste!!
