edamami's Journal, 17 April 2018

So, I find that weight loss is one of the few things that has consistently eluded me. It's seems to find a way to slip through my fingers right as I start making decent progress. It took a lot of self reflection and mindfulness to prove to myself that this isn't some kind of sign that I can't accomplish my goal of a healthier lifestyle. I know I can do it, and it may take longer than I would like, but I want to live my life too. Have days where food isn't a constant worry. To take liberties and be kind to myself as I do everything in my power to get to a healthier me. I'm excited to give myself another shot! It's about time I start again because nothing is ever hopeless if you have support.

I know what you mean about being bogged down in the process. Sometimes it's hard to strike a balance between be so restrictive and being a free-for-all. If it works for you, sounds like having certain days where you lighten up on yourself is a good idea. Do you exercise at all? That can really make a difference.

Thank you everyone for your nice comments :-) it made my day!! As for ny_shelly’s question, I think that is something I have to start scheduling for sure. I’m fairly active but I tend to make it the last thing I prioritize. But I look forward to making some goals that I can work into my day.
