3.1 miles walked this morning...1.8 of it with doggies.

Am going to try adding a short, 10-minute exercise of some type at the 4-6PM time frame this week. Let's see if that does anything to give my metabolism just a slight boost near the end of the day.


EDIT: Walked .7 miles in just under 13 minutes about 5PM....pace was just over 3.25 mph, so split the time under both 3 mph and 3.5 mph. Not too shabby considering my walk this AM plus all the walking around I did working out in the yard. My legs are pooped!

If your weather is anything like mine, it was a beautiful day to go for a walk. As for your momentum, so sorry you "flat-lined" but that is sure better than gaining. Best of luck mixing up your exercise routine - that just may work!

Buffy, I got the flat-lining down pat! And, you're right....it was a GREAT day to go for a walk. Hope you were able to sneak out from work at lunchtime!

GG....never know until I give it a try. And, an extra 10 minutes each day, well, I can probably do that without feeling like I'm being TOO terribly punished... LOL!

Gigi...just take it slow and keep the distance reasonable. Maybe just start out parking further away from the grocery store, mall, church, whatever.

Bren, I'll be happy if I can just force myself to DO the extra time. It's moderately breezy here today....just enough to let my grass clippings and edging debris blow down the sidewalk onto the neighbors' lawns!!!
