I'm feeling really demoralised with my diet at the moment.
Recently, due to various celebrations (including my birthday!), I've allowed myself too many exceptions from the diet. I'm also plagued by the ongoing worry that Atkins really isn't all that healthy.
This is only worsened by news this morning that too much red meat, especially processed meet, can shorten life. The government is recommending a max of 500g per week - I'm sure I easily exceed that!
I need a rethink. I've been contemplating low-GI/GL combined with some regular exercise. I started exercise anyway on Atkins (swimming at least twice weekly), but that's lapsed lately too. Time to get back on it, I think - and I want to complement it with running too.
