NowIunderstand's Journal, 02 July 2017

I've had a few thoughts on the subject.

maybe we are not suppose to be eating the same amount of calories every day - and it's the total sum in a week that will make or break our woe.

after all, some days, I'm more hungry, and some days less...

what if we looked at it as a total of calories at the week's end.

If we look at our history, we were not sitting down to 3 squares a day. some days, we were hunting successfully, some days not... that's probably were fasting comes in as a good mirror to our ancestorial behavior.

---

maybe, we are meant to be always hungry. Maybe that is what as a species kept us moving, in search of food. So maybe those cravings are hard wired.

Oh well, just musing... i'm not going to solve any deep mysteries.

---

very importantly: HAPPY 4TH OF JULY TO ALL AMERICANS! Be kind to each other! (as Ellen says)

This is interesting. If that works for you, then kudos! This definite doesn't work for me. I fear that I will lose focus, motivation, and discipline... because that happens to me. I could never do a weekly sum. I need to be mindful on a daily basis. I learned the hard way that I end up negotiating with my self about my health, convincing myself that I can overeat today if I eat less tomorrow. Oh, no. That's such a trap for me. I'd totally fail.

Truth be told, nothing works for me. i find my time is done. i look in the mirror at the big belly and see sagging legs. so, what's the point? if I don't lose, everything will sag anyway, and if I lose, everything will sag more. And I can't and won't be at the gym to pick everything up. it's just not me. I'm not a physical person. the time to diet to lose weight is when you are young. I still need to lose weight for health purposes. It's unhealthy to bear extra weight. I do eat well, I just eat too much for the little exercise I do and the wine I drink! :) .
