Ok...so I've been doing this for 3 weeks now and am only down 5 pounds. I'm not gaining anything, but I'm not loosing either. Wow, this is so frustrating! I'm doing everything the plan says. My counselors are great and are telling me what things to change, but when I do, I still see no results. And I have not been cheating or anything. I know I need to be exercising more, but its like there isn't enough time after work. Its like by the time I get home, cook, and clean up, I'm too full to go work out or if I work out first, then I get cook and clean, then its time to go to bed, and there's always other stuff to be done around the house. My goodness!!! And I cant even imagine what it would be like if I had kids. Gosh!!

Has anyone been in the boat I'm in? Only a few weeks in and already at a plateau?

I had that happen the first time I did LAWL. I started the plan half-hearted in February 2005, then after a few weeks of no results I stopped. Then in mid March I decided that I was going to do this. The first few weeks I saw little results, but then one day it just seemed to have melted off. It will come off. The real frustrating part for me was that I would weigh in at the center and see high number of pounds lost by individuals and felt like such a failure. Then I realized that we are all different, and lose weight at a different rate. Stay focused and on track and the numbers will come down. What helped was eating the leaner proteins and avoiding red meat. Even though I could eat out and have frozen meals, I stopped. Then once the weight started to fall off I slowly incorporated them back into my food plan.

I felt the same way about exercising---not enough time. I would get home, have lots to do and let taking care of myself fall by the wayside. I started getting up a half an hour earlier than usual and started walking 20 minutes on the treadmill. It was hard at first. I was tired but it was worth it after time. I felt less tired and had a lot more energy. I got exercising out of the way in the morning and didn't need to think about it when I got home.
