On Jan 26,2012 I decided to join the Quita Kilos program offered in my home town and widely known in Mexico. A friend of mine has been in this program for 1yr and lost over 100lb! She continues to follow this diet program. After months of procrastination I decided to join her in this new healthy life style as I've seen how effective it was for her.

On the first day of this program you get an initial weigh in and height measurement followed by a given goal weight according to your age and height. Members are requried to attend weekly conferences and pay a small fee. You are given a HELPFUL Quita Kilos manual/guide and 1 week of daily meal plans to help you transition to healthier eating habits and implements daily dietary measurements of foods.

To my surprise on Jan 26, 2012 my initial weight was 202lb!.
After a week of diligently follwing the meal plan my second weigh in on Feb 02, 2012 was 195lb and my following weigh on Feb 09,2012 was 194lb so far so good! :)

I am still in the process of getting used to measuring my foods and be conscientious of what I cook with or what I drink, but the manual that was initially given is what will guide you to this transition. The Key is not to forget to measure your foods before and after cooking and NEVER cook with Fat (olive oil,margarine etc.) not to mention making sure you DO EAT 21 meals a week! If your work requires occasional business luncheons or dinners, this diet program allows the flexibility to eat out as long as you maintain your food intake to those listed in the manual. What I like about this diet program is that the list provided has VAST variety of fruits, vegetables and Meats any many other foods to cook with/select at restaurants. I will be posting meal plans, recipes and other helpful tips as I continue my journey to a Healthier lifestyle.
