greg2112's Journal, 08 February 2017

It's been just over a year since I began my journey to get healthy and strong just before turning 50.
Fatsecret helped tremendously by keeping me accountable, but even more to give me a little reward every day seeing progressive improvements.

I never EVERY would have dreamed that I would make it to the place I'm at now, I only wished I had done this decades ago.

To anyone out there beginning or struggling with their journey, I'm here to tell you that it is worth it and you WILL get there if you don't give up!

Best wishes to everyone out there with their own personal journey.

Well done that's amazing, and sorry for the ribbing. But you could look a little happier!

Great job Greg! I started on my journey before I was 50 too, but sadly had many setbacks with both my health, medications and dr.'s orders. I've been at it again since last May, going slowly but making progress. I'm now 51 and hope to reach my goals at some point. I keep saving my birthday and holiday money for a new wardrobe, but I have no idea at what point I'll actually get there. I just need to keep my head down and finish. It can be so hard at times. Wonderful work

Wow, thanks for all the responses! It's obvious why my first photo lacks a smile, I was NOT happy being fat and out of shape! The second one is because I have a grey front tooth from a skating accident. That tooth gets fixed in a few weeks, so I will have to learn to smile again!
