Anjian's Journal, 20 November 2016

The end of my first week meticulously recording my food/beverage intake and exercise, and what an education it has been! I have learned so much about the various contents of food, reading all the packaging labels (ha, I knew my magnifying glass would come in handy one day ;) ) and I have learned a lot about the different types of meals that people are eating to help them lose/maintain weight. Mr Google has never been as busy on my laptop as he has this week....I'm a great believer in the saying that 'knowledge is power'. Armed with what I have now learned these past 7 days, I feel confident that whatever the scales tell me tomorrow morning, I shall take pleasure in being an active participant on this site.
With much thanks to my new buddies for their appreciated comments and advice too...tomorrow's the start of another great week for me! :)

All the best for the weigh in but remember that how you feel is more important than the number on the scales. You have this in your hand 👍

It's a learning curve indeed, I thought I had a good diet before coming on FS but I was eating things (avocados and chicken livers) too often not realising quite how calorific they were and not eating others because I assumed they were calorific but aren't. It's changed my view of food and how I eat and the results are fantastic. You're doing very well and will continue to your goal. We're all here with you x

Thanks everyone....as I said before, and we all agree, it really does help knowing that we're not alone in this, and there is no underestimating the support here. I'll be updating my weight history and posting in today's journal shortly. Whilst I do agree that how I feel is really important, I also like to see regular weekly results by way of weight loss, and the main thing for me is how I deal with any gains.....anyway, more about my thoughts on that in Monday's journal post. X :) X
