Are your books published where I could read one?  

No, not yet. I will be sending out all three to literary agents in the next few months. The literary agent gets one a publisher and a publishing deal. It is important to use a literary agent as they can protect a writer and make certain they get international book rights, etc. if a book is a success. I will send all three books out separately and be aggressive in trying to get one sold, then I think if one is the other two will quickly follow. I need very little to live on as I don't own much and don't drive and if I am successfully published will be very guarded with any money I make so that I can take care of myself for many years to come as no one has ever helped me in my adulthood and I have no one I am responsible for - except myself. I'll let everyone know what transpires in the coming months, I am hoping by spring I will be on my way to getting all three books published... already people have asked me to support them if I am published and I will not do that... 

Good for you on the research - I think period pieces should be as authentic as possible.  

Thanks Buffy - so much I didn't learn in school - during the gold rush out to California in 1849 - and the next year in which my book is set in - there was a large amount of cholera on the trail west, people sometimes went by ship route too, the city of San Francisco boomed literally within a few years - gambling was rampant - along with other vices. There's a lot to add at the end, but I won't overdo it and the book I think is a good read and might even make a TV miniseries. Only time will tell if any of my books is successful - I don't need much to live off of - but I enjoy the work immensely and hope to be published within the next few years...

Doing well. Walked about a mile today - went by bus to get a haircut. My friend Bruce may have his girlfriend move in with him soon - she is with nasty roommates and needs to get out of there. We are going to have nice weather for the next four or five days so I will try to get out and walk. I get my energy mostly in the evening so most of my book writing is done then - so I am off to writing and did well with food today and ate healthy too...
