Kate_08_'s Journal, 10 September 2011

I can honestly say I've recorded everything I've had to eat and drink, good or bad, the past few days, and I'm proud of myself just for that if nothing else. Yesterday I started off on the right track, but with my lunch and dinner fell into old habits. I think once I get my Mayo Clinic Diet materials with the journal and start sticking to that lifestyle it should help me. This morning I gave in and watched TV while I ate but I'm going to tell myself to turn the TV off for lunch and dinner. That's my goal. Sometimes it's hard to do that when you live alone and are eating by yourself all the time. It's lonely not to talk anyone to converse with during meals. I also need to make sure I hop back on the treadmill this morning before I take my puppy to her training class. Lots to do today but one thing is clear: ALWAYS think about your goals. That's how I'm going to be successful in forming new habits. I just need to keep telling myself that, especially in the moment.
