I thought I should check in. I am still here. I just haven't done a weigh in for several days. I'm feeling OK about my regimen, but I haven't taken a slight turn. I have had back to back to back visitors, who are on their vacations and so there is free flowing good eats and tropical drinks all around.
I know that I have been wasting calories on alcohol and I am curbing that. I just need to be descreet, as not to foil my guests enjoyment. Last night I made tropical banana rum smoothies, from our own banana trees. I made a drink for me first, with almond milk (30) rum and vanilla extract, stevia and the frozen fingerling bananas. It was delish. The next batch was complete with coconut rum, spiced rum, ice cream and some heavy cream. Thus, the beginning of better maintaining my regimen strategy.
I have been still doing yoga, biking, kayaking, but inbetween some severe weather here. Three tornado watches last weekend and today a severe T-storm is keeping us indoors. My plan is to do yoga on my stationary bike. Not Spynga, which is doing 25 minutes of spinning then going straight to the yoga mat for 25 minutes.
I discovered a couple of weeks ago that while on my stationary bike and having my legs engaged in biking, my upper body is free to stretch and do yoga positions from the waist up. Twists, etc. When I first did this I knew that I was doing some serious exercising because I was sweating a lot! Definitely great for core strengthening and I suspect weightloss. Yay!
So I do have 17 pounds to go to meet my goal, but my being and weight right now is very good. My fine-tuning goal at this point is to flatten up my stomach and it is coming along slowly.
I have felt satisfied after meals, eating more than I have been and loosening up on my constant restriction and calorie awareness. It has been nicely freeing, this loosening, yet I am still recording. I think once I went a few calories over my RDI. I have noticed a different feeling of bloating from eating more carbs than I have, but I have to do this to see how my body handles them. Still eating lots of salad too.
So my apprehension to weigh in is just a feeling. I'm conditioned to think that this satisfied feeling can only come from overeating, which I know I have not done. I will take a morning weigh in soon. Likely, I'll have more to say after that. All part of this journey and still enjoying the ride.
