Not too much to report. I have been sick with a cold all week, so only was able to work out yesterday as I am feeling better. It's still in my lungs so running was tough. I have tried something new a couple times on the treadmill doing some short spurts where I up the pace to 8.6 on the treadmill for just a minute or two then bring it back down. When I get over my sickness I am going to bring it to a 10 and then back to my normal 6-7 pace in spurts. Those of you who run may want to try this out too.

We have eat out a couple nights this week/weekend which doesn't help with trimming the tummy. Tonight we will watch a family movie and have pizza, but I have been making a lean cusine or WW pizza for myself which is a good strategy. I still get to participate but don't have any guilt over it. That will leave room to have ice cream then later tonight too!

Today was the Chicago marathon. I told my husband maybe next year I will train to do that. We'll see. I plan to do a half marathon sometime this upcoming year though and the same triathlon I did this summer. I am also thinking of training for the Chicago olympic distance triathlon which will be in August. That would be tough- 1 mile swim, 25 mile bike and 6.2 run. Fun to plan for future events! I am inspired my Amy's time of under 30 min for the 5K she ran this weekend. She beat my time as I was just over 30 min before on the one I did this spring. It just makes me want to push harder and meet that goal for myself! I love that we can inspire each other here and keep encouraging each other on!!

2010 - the year of the FS half-marathoners! :) Okay, I'll be looking for your next 5K time to beat me - then I'll have to beat it! I hope you feel better soon! I can't imagine running while sick.
