Chaz47's Journal, 23 October 2015

I have managed now to maintain my new weight since August 2014 - I lost 79 lbs from May 2013 - August 2014 by counting calories I weighed my food wrote everything down each day had a good breakfast made large pot of vegetable soup divided into portions for the freezer and had one each day then evening meal had more protein and vegetables (half a plate) cut down on rice, pasta, potatoes, bread and chocolate biscuits but on a Friday night I always had my fish n chips (100g chips) from our local shop as my weekly treat, I also made certain of a walk ranging between 10 mins- 50mins most days and did morning excercises (easy ones) & light weights also used my hoola hoop 10 mins about 4 times per week drank 6-8 glasses of water and when I had tea or coffee I enjoyed either a water biscuit or tea biscuit. I have continued to write everything I eat down each day apart from weekends and contued with walking and excercises, I have plenty of my treats each week chocolate biscuits 1 at a time though and still love it when people stop me to say I look terrific. There is no way I am ever going to put that weight back on again, I am 67years old and have yo yo dieted since I was 20years old
106.0 lb Lost so far: 2.0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

That's good to hear! And congratulations for the significant weight-loss over the last couple of years. And your daily food & exercise routine is to be encouraged & applauded, especially with the weekly treat of fish & chips! I myself have lost around 40 lbs over the last 18 months, with a similar diet & exercise program. And I too afford myself a weekly or biweekly treat of a curry or F&C from the local chippy - and it's amazing how much I enjoy eating chippy chips now that I don't have it quite so often! I've reached my target of around 90 kilograms (200 lbs), and hope to loose another 10-20 lbs in the New Year. And you're right when people comment on how "terrific" or "you're looking well!" you are. A great boost for one's confidence; and I find it even more rewarding when I look at the belt of my trousers, and that every so often I have to adjust to another hole IN rather than a hole OUT. A belt is a great historical guide of one's waist size over time. And it inspires me to keep it that way. Anyway, since it's Friday night, and you've got me hungry, I think a visit to the chippy is in order :) Congrats again!
