The 'Regimen' is going well I think. Today I made a kind of swiss chard quiche (40 cal each) in cupcake size. Actually ate steamed chard for lunch. Everything is so available in the garden and I would have eaten even more for dinner, but conscientiously ate a cherry tomato and cucumber salad with rice vinegar, some cooked beets, a chard quiche and some skinless chicken. My husband has also been on this course and he claims to have lost 7 pounds already! He has always had a hummingbirds metabolism. I on the other hand am not anxious to step on the scale and maybe I am indeed a bit phobic about doing it, since on past diets, counting the fractions of weight loss can be discouraging and frankly right now I feel good. This is an eating style change, not just a temporary reduction of calories alone. I have been very good not to be picking all day and to be eating appropriate serving sizes. The one area that I am concerned about is the nightly glass of wine or the gin and tonic. I would be crushed to find out that the alcohol would sabotage all my good work. Time will tell.
