My body is not liking this bulk. I've decreased fats and been eating cleaner. I've got some hypertension (140s/90s) so I had my PCP order me some Lisinopril to get it under control the remainder of this bulk. We shall see how it goes.

TUD is it worth it if it’s effecting your blood pressure?

IDK yet. I'm still deciding honestly. On the plus side, my shoulders feel so much better this week. No crunching or pain and I can lift more. I'm 32lbs heavier than October 2022. I have 10-12lbs to go until February before I cut some fat and bring back cardio. My BP should improve at that time. If I can't control it with meds, I'll have to stop early.

I know you are a nurse. Please be extra careful. You know what can happen with elevated blood pressure. You look great to me so maybe you have a bit of what i have? I tiny bit of body dysmorphia where you cannot see how fabulous you look? Always trying to tweak for that extra little ______(fill in the blank-for me i want my face to stay young and pretty and then neck down😂)

Oh, of course I have some body issues. It comes with working out and building muscle. Once you start, you will never be satisfied. Especially since you always look better with a pump at the gym with the good lighting and mirrors. Then, you get home and are disappointed an hour later. Lol

I remember those days (daughters daddy was a competitive and winning heavyweight bodybuilder in the late 80’s and 90’s). Even now, (hes 65) he cant go down on the weights (he is still huge but he did steroids and am sure he still does) even tho doc said he needs to move to more cardio for heart health. Just be careful brother.

Are you on TRT? Just wondering why the high BP

If it was me I’d start to trim the fats or a 1-2 cut to get your metabolic right again. Remember the goal is health over gainz or is that just mine😂

That's why my cardiologist said to wait to do my bulk and cut until I get through all this heart stuff they are doing. Be careful. 💜💪

Diablo, the BP has been increasing since I stopped cardio. I want to do cardio but I can't afford to burn more calories. I'm tired of eating as it is. Well, I'm also super stressed working 7p-7a. My body takes 3 days to recover from one shift.

Tud are you getting enough hydration? Iron?

No, I could use more water. I'm getting .5-.75 gallons daily. My labs did show my H/H a bit high but nothing crazy. I'm normally high due to my sleep apnea and the elevation here. I think it is my new job. My body feels awful and sleep pattern is all over the place. Maybe I'll drain 250mls of blood tomorrow and see how I feel. I used to donate, but they won't take it since I'm on blood thinners now.

Why are you on blood thinners? Can you do a full panel lab. Check your vitamin d and k also?

2 years ago, I got some clots in my lungs and couldn't breathe. We did some tests and found out that I have a genetic clotting disorder. I had my teens tested and they are positive as well. Had to pull my daughter off of oral contraceptive and take a different route. I'll see how much the full panel is. My healthcare offices are on strike right now and I might have to order labs myself.

Please do it TUD. I get comprehensive labs done 3X a year. This is how i found out i was in adrenal failure 18 months ago. Standard labs dont get into the full range. I have to pay out of pocket for them and they are around $300 (thats the deal my dr’s office has worked out). She doesnt accept insurance so she is cash only always but im guessing the cost probably is similar in your area. It’s good to have a base line. Somewhere in my journal i think in the 3rd week of January i posted my labs if you want to see what all she runs them for although i think i missed a couple pages. It’s usually about 8 pages worth. Good you found out about the clotting disorder for your kids before something awful happened. Sorry thats in your family. Will check in on you my friend.
