Mental barriers: one of my biggest hangups about morning exercise is that I never feel like I want to work “that hard” that early. My brain takes some time to wake up. However, I really need to wake my metabolism up. Today, I am on the treadmill with the notion that just 15 minutes is better than nothing and I’m just doing a medium walking pace. I can read the morning news and get my bpm up to 130 simultaneously.

Thanks FoodDuty! Sometimes I have to kick myself in the pants. Probably will be later this evening as I commit to doing more exercise. 😅

Strength training is good for getting metabolism going.

Thanks StormsGirl! I’m hoping to get back into morning routines as winter nears so I will see if I can incorporate some of that. So far, walking seems to be the most I can handle but I’m going to try to work on getting up earlier.
