It is a day for lists!!l I need a plan to work from.

I am working on menus and plans for the coming 2 weeks. My frig is kind of a mess =so using up small items in it that need to be used. "Fried rice" for dinner with bits and pieces. Missing bean sprouts as I either have to grow my own or a trip to the oriental store--will do oriental stores on Sat.

onion, ginger, mushrooms, a bit of leftover smoked pork chop, green pepper, chopped cilantro and a few shrimp and a cup of leftover rice. toss in some oyster sauce and soy sauce and a good tasting meal, a few dry roasted peanuts on top for a bit of crunch. I may only eat part of it might be difficult to come up with calories for the day.

I’ve found that I can only do 3 days & recipes at a time because otherwise the produce wilts. Leftovers are stored in both the fridge and freezer. Luckily I live walking distance from both the grocery store and the Farmers Market. Your list sounds like a great plan, and eating home cooked experiments is my favorite 😍

WFN, where I come from, we call that jambalaya, a great way to use those bits and pieces. Good planning.

I like that. Working on a menu instead of what I do which is raiding the fridge

Shirfleur, I bought some Zatarain's jambalaya yesterday, smoked sausage and frozen okra and made that last night. Have not really been shopping yet except at the small store at the corner --they don't have much of a selection. So haven't gotten far on my plan. exhausted after work. Sugarplum, that is what I have been doing latelty it needs a good clean out!!

WFN - i have had maybe four GOTO plans during my journey that seems to work for me 1) eggs - usually two 2) shredded cabbage salad - i like to add some carrot, onion, tomatoes, olives, and anchovies then dress it in an EVOO /ACV mix 3) kale / blueberry / kefir / water smoothie 4) a whole puréed lemon, ACV, and water drink Ideas for your menu planning. Interested in other ideas you have as well.

I know I do OK with exercise and a mostly plant based WOE.I feel better and have so much more energy.. I need to get back to it. It is not a life style that can be done without planning. I am struggling with that as I am spending many weekends away from home. Now that the plans are finally being submitted to the bank in the next week to build my retirement home it may get crazier. I am struggling trying to find a way thru this.

How exciting -- retirement home! Stressful process, but you'll enjoy it so much 😊 I'm not much of a food planner. My general strategy is to buy too many vegetables and then frantically go through them because I dislike food waste. Most meals begin with me looking in the fridge and deciding which item is most in danger of going bad 🤣
