Vit D by Dr Oz.

Min requirements supplements are 1000 units a day, can go up to 2000 units a day (depending on the person)

Can take up to a couple of months before seeing a difference.

Some of the symptoms of deficiency are : Fatigue, dementia, depression, thyroid problems

Best source is Supplements because of the sheer quantity of food to attain that amount.

So, I've just upped my vitamin load.
FOR RECORDING PURPOSES.

Today: Walked 40 min at a good pace and did the Twister 4 minutes.

I went out for an amazing breakfast Friday am with the best coffee. Must've had 5 small cups with cream and sugar.

Saturday, out and about, I was so hungry because I missed lunch and caved in for a Caramilk! A huge one! lol

It was gone in a matter of minutes and was sOOO good. But I felt tired instantly, and all weekend I've been sleepy.

so I need to quantify my energy levels to see what's working for me in the matter of foods I eat and the alcohol I drink.

I now get the impression that as soon as I stray just a bit I pay for it in the manner of sluggishness.

But straying I will be doing, since this is Xmas time and 'eating, drinking and being merry' is unavoidable. At least, I plan to be very good in between the dinner parties.

Had some red meat today! yum!

The VitD topic got hot a few years ago and people started guzzling extra supplements by the boatload but I think it takes an RX VITD to see a difference. It is interesting the symptoms of a deficiency esp depression; I wish I'd thought to have my level checked on my recent lab.. darnit. Grace takes RXVITD for her fatigue (& depression) and it really helps her.

I hope the supplements will help you. I think that nothing is better then just eating healthy, I feel fantastic after eating a fruit salad on an empty stomach. I do eat something sweet everyday so I am not obsessive about healthy foods just know their benefits. Since I am living my new lifestyle I do not feel sluggish. Happy holidays :-)
