HELP! My cholesterol is too high. I've never paid attention to it and have no idea how to think about going forward except that my doctor said no fat and to lose weight. I know how to lose weight, smaller portions. But everything I eat is fatty, pretty much. Veggies and fruits only? And lean meat? Or should I avoid meat altogether? Anyone else have this issue? Thanks!

I've no idea, but interested in the answers too. Wouldn't it be nice if we could just drink a few gallons of water and wash it away... 🤔... 💦

I have genetically high cholesterol. To avoid statins I take supplements, ginger and fish oil. Keeps my number around 200. I try to eat fish 2 times a week and I cut back on processed foods. Seems to be helping.

I found FS for the same reason. I think everyone has to find what works for them. What has been working for me is like 85% veggies /fruit (mostly veg) and either beans for fish for protein. 10k steps a day and eating in a deficit of at least 500. I've only really been at it a lil over 2 months and have seen some losses which had me floored it worked. I definitely think there is something to the calorie in, calorie out thing. There are so many more on here that know more than I but it's been working. It's been difficult to say the least. But seeing it slowly peel off gives me incentive to keep going. I pray you find what will work for you. This is a very supportive and kind group of people. 💕
