Oh my goodness! I slept from 8:30pm until 9am!!! I went to the dermatologist yesterday and had a carcinoma removed. For some reason I am resistant to lidocaine. Every time I need stitches or, in the case of my vein ablation need cauterizing, I FEEL IT. I always tell the doctors and they always act like I'm wanting extra drugs...Yesterday was no exception. I jumped with every move the doctor made (and the spot was on my back so I wouldn't have known he was cutting, cauterizing, or stapling if I couldn't FEEL it). The doctor did finally ask for more anesthetic, but I still felt two cauteries before it took its full effect. I left the office shakey and exhausted with I don't know how many deep stitches and 17 staples in my back...but by that time I was numb so at least it didn't hurt.
After the appointment we had dinner with DS#6 and his family. We left early because the anesthetic was wearing off and I didn't want to be out-and-about if it got too uncomfortable. When we got home I went straight to bed and didn't wake up till 9am...which is really late for me. I'm still tired and sore so this will be an easy day for me.
As far as my lifestyle changes...I have stayed on my meal plan, I'm logging everything I eat and most if not all my exercise, and I'm following up on medical and dental issues that have been postponed for too long...so I'd say I'm doing well.
Have a great weekend everyone!
