I am really starting it to come into my own it seems like!

I have always yo-yo'd on my weight but have finally made the choice that this is a new lifestyle! NOT A DIET-I am working hard and trying to stay positive! I have been walking (super fast) for an hour on my lunch breaks and for another hour every other evening. I attempted running during one of my walks last week-which is something I haven't done since well the 90's-OMG, just realized it has been forever-but since that first day I ran for only like 5 min I have been able to increase to 15 min which is a HUGE DEAL TO ME! and I bought some ankle weights to give me more bang for the buck on my walks! Started my strength/weight training last week as well and try to do a min of 30 min to an hour 3 days a week-don't want to kill myself. I eat a small breakfast (whole wheat sugar free english muffin with sugar free jam or fruit), small lunch (like smart one's), and my afternoon snack is a smoothie(lean body low carb for her with fruit, share with a co-worker so it's less than 200 cal)dinner is usually a little more lenient (I JUST REALLY WATCH MY PORTIONS) and try to keep my calories and fat low. However since I started doing my weight/strength training I have needed an evening snack now because I am starving! Still keeping my eating before 8pm though.

I have really been doing awesome and keeping my eye on the target. I have lost 56 lb and 44lb to go. I started Jan 6 and have done this good so might as well keep going and stick with it.

This really is a lifestyle change for my kids-I have to set the example and I don't want them to be embarrassed by ME! My daughter (age 6)loves watching me workout and she even joins me on some stuff. It's really helping my mood and family life.

It's absolutely amazing how being healthy makes everything else just fall into place: mood, skin, hair, financial stuff, organization, house cleaning, kids and a change in the love life is a nice addition too!
