Thanks Melissa! 👍I usually just buy the pickled kind - makes it easy to bulk out a meal with very low calories. I'm just always very cautious of splashing it anywhere for the dreaded stains. 😬

My mom’s homemade pickled beets are the very best. I always drink some of the juice. Mmmmmm soooooo good!! 😋😋😋😋

Wifey - hubby and I were making it ourselves at one stage too. In our old house we had a huge pot and he grew some in our little veggie patch one year so we had a few big jars for a while. I do like the juice too - it's great as a salad dressing as well. xxx

Thanks Chestnut! I'm so glad we found these meatless meatballs - they're a great replacement. Reminds me of my mom's meatballs she used to make as well - in SA they're called Frikkadels. She always served them with mashed potato and an onion/tomato kind of relish called Smoortjie.
