Bandrai's Journal, 14 July 2021

I'm floating up and down between 145 and 155lbs. Same old story, its fluctuating. I guess its a plateau. So, counterintuitively I'm increasing calories moderately, and planning in more aggressive exercise throughout the week. Because it seems like my favoured long hikes just don't cut it anymore and I can't seem to get enough in to get tired or feel any burn. I guess, it does that our machine, it adapts to the usual and its possibly just not strenuous enough anymore to achieve any results. Hopefully with a little extra fuel and can do some energetic sports and workouts to push through the mid 140 barrier.

On prior progress I had really thought I would be down in the 130s by now ;( So a big re-adjustment is necessary to burn through. My protein intake has dropped too, and I'm consciously trying to rev that back up again. It certainly was better at giving satiety and at the moment, there have been occasional grumblings in the machine.

Although I have been careful to keep even the weekends predominantly below RDI to some degree (and here RDI is supposed to represent a loss intake :p God knows) .. I've decided to get stricter there too, and cut out the indulgences i.e. pasta wine are now off the winddown menu.

I'll do a hard push for the next 3 weeks, and see if I can invoke some progress. Fed up of the same numbers jumping around on the scales for the last 3 weeks now.

And trying, not to get totally disappointed.

Peace all :)
