More good info from WikiFitness below and some of this stuff is just so straight forward it’s really kind of hilarious. I was searching the term glycogen in the glossary on the site and these two articles came up, one about loosing weight and one about gaining weight. The articles include some excuses about why we tell ourselves we can’t loose or gain weight. Some good information here and a good chuckle as well if you’ve got a minute!

"You are not losing weight because you are not eating at a calorie deficit."- plain and simple. I love that page.

Excellent info! When I think back to what factors were really hampering my weightloss it was pretty simple. First and foremost, I lacked patience! 2nd, I just hadn't been eating enough protein to keep me from being hungry. I would usually choose a high fat, high sugar carb over good nutrition because it was quick, and fed me emotionally. I also was not active enough, and my food portion size was too big. Since increasing my exercise my metabolism has increased and my smart scale says it's higher than average. I only lost about 5lbs a month on average. I attribute my higher metabolism to exercise and proper nutrition. But of course I still eat donuts and chocolate on occasion!

Very interesting article with great insights to pay attention to. Not sure the 'colorful' language was necessary to get the points across, but overlooking that it was on-point about actually being aware and actually being honest with ourselves about our food intake & calorie tracking. Good reminders. Awareness goes a long way, as does honesty with ourselves, which can be hard to do. Thanks for sharing the article!
