We had a fun overnighter of shopping and girl time this past weekend. And, too much food. It actually wasn't horrendous, but then we ate out on Sunday afternoon and that seemed to do me in even though I just had a salad on Sunday night. The scale hit 140 this morning. I have eaten beautifully today and had a good workout of 20 min weights and 30 min/ 2.6 miles on the treadmill of a run/some walk. I am hoping the scale will get back down and I will be back on track! I really want to work on getting to 135 for my upcoming run on April 3rd. I will try! One big difference has been I have found it very difficult to keep up a vigorous workout schedule like I had been before with working 2-3 days a week now. I will try to add in swimming a day this week and running another day too.

I sure found the transition to working full time vs. being a stay at home wife/mother made a huge mess of my workout schedule. So little time and so much to do! I'm learning to be happy with less exercise. If you get 3 good workouts in a week, that is really great. Any more over that is just bonus. Your slight gain is undoubtedly water retention. Have no fear, I'm sure it will disappear very quickly.

Try to hang on and not overeat in the evening and the weight will not only come off, you will be better off than the last weigh-in (probably tomorrow). I see that you wait between weigh-ins so, from where you are, 135 should be a snap to reach. Keep up the good work!

I'm telling you, it's magnetic air waves or something messing with your scale! It's going around. :) I'm sure the air will clear and we'll all be back on our downward journey. Good luck fine tuning your workouts around your new schedule. I'm sure you'll figure it out! I love how you do so many runs ... it keeps you in 'training' mode!

It is tough fitting everything in - isn't it! It is so easy for others to say, "You have got to make exercise a priority." What clicked with me was that stage when I began looking toward exercise as a means to remedy the stresses of the workday. It feels great to look forward to eating right and working out right!
