Third good day. Fasting until about 2:00. Light exercise. Actually, I have lower back pain. Don't know what it's from. Virus? Anyhoo, I'm pleased with myself. Good day!

Still fasting. It's working so far. Not all day. Just half the day. It's my brother's diet. And actually, it's what used to work for me years ago. So I get up and don't eat, don't think about food. I just drink. But I need to exercise later in the day, after I eat. The whole thing seems to be working. So we'll see. :)

I really like the fasting approach, it's at least a tool that all dieters should have in their repertoire. Holding out in the morning is relatively easy, in the afternoon I drink lots of water (it helps a lot) and try to stick to liquids and stay as far from food as possible. An entire day of fasting is really good for building will power. After that you could alternate high and low calorie days. Anyway, I do that a lot and find it quite effective too. I was thinking that your chart looks similar to mine except that mine is more compressed (the weight fluctuations are definitely similar). Great work Debbra, keep it up!

Are you fasting to get through a plateau or is this for Lent? I was just curious. I have hit a plateau and thought of fasting one day to see if I could rejouvinate my system. I like an approach I saw on here, start at 2. I think mentally it would seem like 1/2 days for me rather than going an entire day. I know it's still 24 hours :)

For me the fasting is purely for losing weight. It's worked for me in the past, and I find it effective now also. Basically, I wake up in the morning without the intent to eat. I go about my day, a little hungry. I drink -- water, soda, tea, coffee -- whatever I feel like. And then around 2:00 I'll allow myself about 200 to 300 calories. But my appetite for the entire day is much less. I find that doing it this way just makes me eat less overall. I'm trying to eat between 1100 and 1400 calories for the entire day; so this system has me eating most of my points in the late afternoon or evening. I'm pleased with the progress so far!
