I heard on the way in to work this morning that people who follow the Adkins diet are HAPPIER and have better moods than those following other diet plans. Researchers indicate the high protein low carb diet was also good for those who actually suffer from mood disorders like Manic Depression et. al. Interesting if true... Just sharing this news story for those who are interested in this research finding.

I never did Adkins, but I did lose my first 30 pounds on a modified Paleo diet and I definitely agree. I think most of the happiness comes from results more than the foods you are eating however, low carb definitely isn't what made me happy as it was the most miserable part about the diet.

I am starting to take all these studies with a grain of salt. You can look up just as much studies that go the other way. Every other study tells you something different. I think if you find something that works for you and makes you happy, then that's a wonderful thing. I just read a study the other day that low carb may increases cravings for carbs instead of decrease. I was like "what???" So whatever works for the individual, lol!
