Hi Everyone! I'm new here so I thought l would introduce myself. My name is Alyson, I'll be 34 in May, and I'm ready to get in shape! On Black Friday last year 11-27-20 I really got the most amazing gift ever!! A new (to me) perfectly working kidney and pancreas! After being on dialysis for 3 years and a type 1 diabetic for 23 years this is beyond a blessing! Thankful is an understatement! I'm no longer a diabetic and my kidneys are working wonderfully! Prior to transplant I remember hearing that I would lose weight after transplant... not the case for me. I'm at my all time heaviest weight. But that's okay! Totally worth it!! I've just decided not to let my weight get any more out of control than it is. Plus I want to do this for my donor and myself! Cheers to being healthy! So far I really like this app. I'm on day 8 and going strong ☺️ Anyway I'm wishing everyone good luck on their journey and I'll be cheering everyone on!
