POWENCH's Journal, 01 February 2009

I really need to re-commit to my program. I have done really well, but I still feel fatter than ever. I am leveling off a bit on my weight loss, and I need to continue because I am not close to where I need to be, either health or looks wise. I feel like I am at a cross roads, and I have to keep holding on to a railing that is running out, in just a few feet. I feel old tendencies coming back...and saying "you are being slighted", go back to eating and drinking what you want. So it is a constant game of telling myself that this is better..being healthier is better, wearing smaller clothes is better, but the bottom line is that there is something missing from that, otherwise it would have always been worth it and I would not be back here trying to lose weight again.....when I find that piece then maybe I will truly find peace.

I know how hard it is. You have to stop holding food to such a high aclaim. Its just food, its only ment to keep your body running, and you only need enough to do that, no more. You also have to think to yourself, that "no sweet is sweeter than a smaller size." Good luck, you can do it!!!

Maybe you could try some new healthy recipes or different types of exercises. Things that you wouldn't normally eat or try. Maybe you are just in a rut and bored with the same old daily grind. Spice your food up with some Ms Dash, or find some interesting food combinations. Maybe learn some new stir frys, or grill out some. Just some ideas.
