Thank you for the kind comments. Today was weigh day and, as I knew would happen, I gained 2.8 pounds. I am not at all worried, though. It is due to my rheumatologist doubling my prednisone. This only temporary and he has already started to wean me back down. It will only take about a week. Wow - that stuff really affects the appetite. I was voraciously hungry all week. I remember my friend's cat being given prednisone for a flea allergy and the poor thing gained a ton of weight and spent the day licking the carpet! Next weigh in should be in the other direction. That prednisone certainly sounds like a tough challenge to your weight. Fortunately, you have strong will power and should be able to ride it out. I hope all other things are going well for you. You are doing GREAT Doc, keep it up!

Well, I hope that the Prednisone didn't make YOU like the carpet!! I was on a low dose of Prednisone many years ago and it made be retain water like a sponge...ugh! I used Diruex pills to help keep it under control but I couldn't wait to get off the stuff. I hope that you're able to get off it soon.
