Today was not such a good day as far as eating goes. my hubby, son and I went grocery shopping and out to lunch for my sons birthday. I was pretty excited when my son chose to go to Chilies for lunch because I knew I would be able to get something that was on my diet. However, since hubby orders my food when we go out He didn't he do so well this time. He tried and thought he was getting healthy food but since I am on phase 1 it wasn't so great. He ordered me the bottomless lunch when is salad and soup so I though cool i will pick off the crutons and since he always orders dressing on the side I will just add a little. He ordered me chicken enchilada soup which i am sure isn't on the plan but not as bad as potato. As they brought the food my night mare began.. the meal comes with chips and salsa! my binge food! I stated at the chips and prayed the salad would come quick and once it did I was relieved but those darn chips stared me in the face. I gave in and ate 2 not so bad and I thought i could do this. by the end of the meal I had eaten 10 or 15 chips , granted not the 2 baskets I normally would have but definatly not what I needed to eat. I decided that I would just try to do phase 1 an extra week and all will be fine. I really want to kick these cravings in the rear.

The most important thing about phase 1 is to not cheat so that the cravings do go away. Also it has to do with the blood sugars and other things that all go into phase 1 that sets you up for a more successful, less stressed/less cravings future on the plan. I really urge you do a 14 days of a real phase 1. Believe me, I'm a chips and dip and junk food junkie...it can be done, and when you dont give into any cheats, it gets So much easier! That's the purpose of phase 1 and it works if you stick to it. If phase 1 is done without cheating, you can lose 8-12 in the first 14 days. I personally know of 3 people who lost right at the 12 pound mark in 14 days of phase 1 SB. The one thing in common these people have, they will all tell you they did not cheat ONCE and it was the not cheating that made the temptations go away. You can do it.

I am one of those people (I lost 12 pounds my first 14 days on SB) and you have to believe me when I say that if you stick to the plan, it really does make those cravings go away.

move forward and don't be afraid to tell your husband to please take the tempting foods out of your sight. Have the waitress take them from the table. :) you are doing awesome let go and move on!!
