Now that I have been fasting or been on my liquid meal replacement diet It has started me thinking. One of the things it makes me consider is why I do a liquid meal replacement that typically adds up to around 1200 calories per day rather than eating whole foods. I think that it is because It is much easier not to have a lot of choices. I know that my shake is nutritionally sound and will adequately sustain my health which is why I am doing this in the first place. It's not like it's easier than preparing meals because there is a lot of prep work that goes into the process of making blended shakes, soups and organic vegetable juice. Anyway I feel like this is right for me for now.

The other thing I have been contemplating on this 14th day of my fast is how long should I continue and how much do I really want to weigh. As I get closer to what I thought was my goal of 145 lbs. I wonder if I shouldn't just continue and explore the upper 130's. I was thinking 136 would be good at 5'6" that way if I got to 140 I would know that it's time to reel it back in. The fact remains that I am an over eater and I have to take charge of the condition in order not to eat myself back into obesity. I have battled this demon all of my adult life so I know that I have to always have a plan and be on my game in order not to let it ever so subtly creep back into my life while I am in some type of complacency. Anyway those are my thoughts for today...
