I'm doing well. I may start at least observing what WW is doing since their program changed and might be a bit easier to follow. I am keeping busy, riding the bus is a complete pain - today took too much stuff on and lost a bag. It is so much easier to get a ride from someone and those that were helping me the most - even though I paid them - moved away. My plans for Christmas are to order pizza for myself Christmas Eve and then probably on Christmas Day go out to eat somewhere with my friend Bruce from work. The weather is cold and windy and there are snow flurries and I am ready for spring already. The writing is going well - about 100 pages more to edit of the first book that is 600 plus pages long... I am getting quite good at editing things I think since I've been doing it for so long... the next book is only 300 pages long so shouldn't take long at all to edit then it's on to typing the other books that are done and partially done into the computer. My typing skills have improved markedly over the past year. I will hopefully do vocabulary words again very soon...

Ouch regarding the lost bag! These days I try to move around with as little as possible, it's so easy to overestimate what one really needs to have at hand. Though I cannot see your chart at the moment, you sound well Glenn; and, the progress you are making with your writing is particularly impressive. Keep taking care of youself buddy!

Hi info - thanks for checking in. I am doing well now, weight is steady but I need to lose a little more. The writing IS going well. Two books ready for submission to an agent or publisher will be done by late January probably. Then it's on to typing up all the longhand writing into the computer so I should be busy with it for months most likely. The weather is quite cold so my ankles feel arthritic today, heat helps...

Oh it's OK about the bag. I am going shopping this weekend most likely and my friend Shawn will probably take me. He is young enough to be my son, but looks older and I'm told I look younger than I am especially when I dye the gray out of my temple area hair. I am studying a vocabulary book to help with the writing. I only wish I know all these words when I took the college prep test thirty years ago. I joined the service anyway so it didn't matter. I will probably start vocabulary words this week again - it is always good to be learning the language of English and also continue to study Spanish too. Next autumn I hope to be in a Spanish class and some sort of other class too to get financial aid. I hope to go to night school. I also want to start learning French too. An added note - I am adding a few pages of history to my book, I found out this information that I needed in our local paper and it will help make the book more realistic. It is also on the Internet so I will get the details in there as it is only briefly mentioned in the books I have now that I'm using for research. If one writes historical fiction they see how they're literally guided by a force higher than themselves - it is remarkable how I came about things I found out for the first book. My aunt helped me by chance with a book from the eastern part of the state. A higher force is definitely in charge sometimes and we forget that a lot...

I switched over to WW a while back and it really isn't any harder to count points than carbs. The new plan takes nutrition a bit more seriously than before, however they still have a little ways to go. I think that they need to take the type of fat into consideration when counting fat grams. Monounsaturated fats have been proven as good for us over and over again. That said, WW does seem to be working where my tried and true low carb diet failed me. The scale is move downward ever so slowly. :)

Hi Glenn, glad to see you are still hard at work. I've been sick all week with that nasty bug going around. Really got me down this one. Even missed a day of work. Have a busy weekend planned as I have to catch up on lights on the house, the tree, etc. Shopping is basically done. You look like you are quite busy yourself. Glad things are moving along for you. Sure wish you had someone to spend the holidays with. I hope this doesn't bother you a great deal. It's gone swiftly, the day. I'm looking forward to your vocabulary words again. Our weather has been quite cold. But today (Friday) thru Sunday it will be gorgous and up to the mid 70's. But Sunday night and for the next 3 days or so, it drops even colder, into the high 20's and 30's ~ FLORIDA! But, this is why I am here. The cold is brief, the warm ups are great. The high heat in summer is a bit rough, but we can wear shorts and tank tops longer than you northerners. Plus we can go to the beach and cool off. Have a wonderful weekend Glenn and keep it going.

Thanks slease about the information regarding WW. NN - I am OK that the Christmas holiday is not much for me. I have to find out if/when my aunt will visit, I don't exchange gifts with other family, though I do have gifts for my little niece and oldest two great-nephews, ages 10 and 10 and 9. It will probably be summer before anyone picks them up. I plan to spend Christmas Eve listening to Christmas music and get myself a pizza. My friend Bruce from work will come over maybe on Christmas to go out to eat, but that is up in the air maybe? Also, NN I was sick last week, a bit under the weather with throat congestion and runny nose but it is over for the most part. I am off of work till New Year's Eve night after tonight! I hope to get lots of writing done, I will add some pages of historical information I got from the library today into the computer over the upcoming days. It is cold here but I'm getting by OK. If one doesn't have a family like me the holidays really are no big deal. I will go to church probably on Christmas Eve as that is the true meaning of the holiday for me at this point in life...

slease - Good to hear from you again. Yes, fat that is in olive oil is better than say Crisco oil, lard or liquid for example. It sounds like they're on the right track and will add nuts and other good fats like olive oil to have a better impact on one's health than say hamburger grease from a burger... thanks for your insight on it - you're right and I bet it's only a matter of time before they realize where you're coming from with this...
