POWENCH's Journal, 04 December 2008

I got a little anal last night and started to play with numbers and my weight loss. I figured out that I have lost an average of 1.6 pounds per week since I started this little life change journey. That was a bit disheartening for me, I was really hoping for at least 2. When I laid that average out against what I have left to loose, the timeline was really depressing...almost another 9 months!

Then I realised that I was once again boxing myself into the mindset that this will end when I get to a certain weight. I realized that the fight might begin when I actually get to my perceived "finish" line. I don't want to be here in another 5 years, so I really need to work on the head game.

I am doing well, I will continue to do well, and I will hopefully live well because of my committment for the REST OF MY LIFE.

first this is not a LITTLE life change, it is hugh..and second...some of the people here who are maintaining say that it is harder than losing...good luck and don't be so hard on your self..you are doing great...

It is hard to maintain, so basically, I guess we just have to watch what we eat for the rest of our lives. That sounded depressing, but I guess I mean, we'll just have to be smarter with our food choices.
