I've had a challenging few days. I've been attending a conference in town, which started Thursday morning. It's really hard to try to journal the hotel foods bc I have no idea what's in it. I tried to make the best choices possible. Conference ended at 1 am last night with an after-party sponsored by my law firm (and I drank too much wine). Woke up exhausted this morning and tried to get most of my Thanksgiving shopping done today.

Sounds like quite and evening. I have not had any alcohol since we started this, and am not usually a big drinker anyway. Maybe a White Russian or mojito here or there and a glass of wine a few times a year. Do you notice that the drinks hit you harder or faster? I will probably have some drinks when we vacation in Mexico in February.

Yes, the wine definitely goes to my head faster now. I confess wine is a weakness of mine. I like wine and it helps me to de-stress, too. But with the regular exercise, I haven't felt as much desire for a glass of wine, so it's the social situations where it's hard now to resist.
