Doing OK. I've been an emotional basket case. But I guess it is a mid life crisis thing all of us go through. I see my friends on the West Coast - so successful and wealthy. I couldn't go back if I wanted to now. Life is passing me by it seems. But I'm trying to do lofty goals and I don't know if I'll ever succeed on trying to become a published author. I did succeed at one goal - losing a dramatic amount of weight. It is the small things that count I guess. At least I managed to do something most people have trouble doing and that is losing weight to get to my ideal body weight. Now the next thing is a girlfriend hopefully. Then hopefully the next goal after that will be getting toned up at the gym. And then getting published as an author before I'm an old man!!!! Ha Ha :)Smile :)

Just keep pushing towards your goals. You'll get there. :)

Glenn, you have succeeded in something most of the American population simply cannot seem to do. I would approach all of your goals in the incremental way you have lost the weight. Keep on trying, keep pushing your dreams and step, by baby step I truly believe you will get there!

I agree with Sima, the fact that you have accomplished the one goal means the other ones are next! I believe in you!

One goal at a time and you'll get there! :)

Thanks for all the kind comments! I realize it is tough to lose weight and I conquered that goal with relative ease though it took time and the weight is off to stay. The other goals are just another step away - I can do it despite the negativity of some people saying they won't happen. Anything conceivable is possible if it is done especially with the greater good in mind... :)

Glenn, I can relate to what you are going through and I have sympathy to the struggle. I'm going through the process of trying to reinvent myself. Its a hard road. I lost a lot of things recently and rather than focus on the loss, I've realized that it gave me the chance to do those things that I've always wanted to do. But it has been harder than I thought. There are a lot of obstacles in the way, and I get a little stuck...and then a little more unstuck every day. I think you need to look at those other goals exactly like you did the weight loss. Break them down and take steps in the direction that you want to go. Make compromises when you need to, but don't take your eye off the prize. Every single thing we do in our lives is a process. So begin the process.
